Put Major Case Experience to Work for You
Malone LLC also has a commercial litigation practice. Jim Malone, the firm’s managing member, has been actively involved in major litigation throughout the United States for almost thirty years, representing clients in major securities, antitrust and ERISA cases.
Jim’s antitrust cases have included monopolization cases against Microsoft and Intel, as well as a variety of price-fixing cases. In the securities field, Jim has prosecuted cases against banks and bank holding companies, pharmaceutical companies, broker-dealers and mutual fund sponsors. Jim also has experience in transactional cases such as limited partnership roll-ups and asset sales. In the ERISA area, Jim has represented claimants pursuing claims relating to both pension plans and welfare plans.
Jim also has experience in general commercial cases, including insurance matters; for example, he served as co-lead counsel in a successful insurance insolvency class action, in which 16.5 million dollars was recovered for Pennsylvania residents.
Jim’s work on these types of cases gives him the ability to handle highly complex and technical fact patterns and to synthesize large volumes of documentary evidence. Jim has also developed extensive experience with the examination of adverse fact witnesses and experts in large-scale, document-intensive litigation.
Jim is available to work on commercial litigation cases either as principal counsel or in a co-counsel role.
